It’s a fact that having cellulite is not pretty, even it’s in places that other people don’t normally see. So, how cellulite can form onto your skin? Read on, here’s a list of the causes of cellulite happening to your skin.
What Is Cellulite?
Cellulite is a skin condition where lumps and dimples are formed within the skin, creating a wrinkly, orange skin-like appearance.
And get this: it affects up to 90 percent of women, more than man due to our biological distribution of fat and other connective tissues. So yeah, we definitely get in at some point in our lives.
The skin condition is not fixed, as there are certain grades to characterize cellulite; with the first grade (or we called it as mild) have orange-skin like look and pretty much on a superficial level, compared with grade four where the sagging and draping of the affected skin is serious, with deep depression.
What Causes Cellulite To My Skin?
Unfortunately for us, the true cause of cellulite is not known for sure. But we can safely say that it’s a combination of multiple connective tissue within the affected area, along with the fat layer underneath it.
And this happens prominently is the fat layers and connective tissues are arranged vertically, with the fat layer juts outwards - and this arrangement is characteristic among women, unlike men with criss-cross placement.
And of course, there are possible factors that are determined to likely cause you cellulite. Which one is yours?
Hormonal Factors And Age-Related Factors
Hormone plays one of the main role in causing you cellulite, as they affect the blood circulation and the fat metabolism. Namely the hormones are estrogen, thyroid hormones, and insulin to name a few.
As we age, the blood flow and circulation also decreases (which also means reduced oxygen and nutrition necessary for healthy skin) that it won’t counter the effects of other aging signs, causing fat deposits to be more visible and creating a wrinkly, dimple effect, hence cellulite.
Genetic Factors
Unfortunately for us too, some of us are predisposed to get one, from genetic-related factors. As our genes plays a key role in our hormone, metabolism, fat distribution and fat burning, as well as the skin’s integrity - these factors causes you to get cellulite, more than others.
Of course, that’s not to say you’re doomed to get one for the rest of your life; the right healthy habits in fighting cellulite still works for you too.
Unhealthy Diet
Unhealthy diet means a diet that’s loaded with too much carbs, unhealthy fats, sugar, and salt and lacking vitamins, minerals, and other nutrition at the same time. This in turn causing reduced blood flow, plus increased fluid retention, toxins, and fat deposits to create unappealing cellulite onto your skin.
What Can I Do To Remove This Cellulite?
Short of getting medical treatment such as knives and lasers, a better approach would for you to purge out anything that's causing the cellulite, from inside out. A healthy diet coupled with a regular routine of exercise is a good way to start.
Or perhaps a proven remedy with a dose of coffee scrub is what you need. Caffeine that is contained in coffee helps to purge out fluid retention and increasing blood flow, to help reduce the appearance of cellulite.
